We are looking for a Senior Video Processing Specialist.
Responsibilities
  • Lead the development of robust, scalable video pipelines for cloud-based CCTV streaming and recording, ensuring seamless integration and high performance.
  • Oversee the entire lifecycle of video recording pipelines and storage solutions within cloud environments, utilizing tools such as FFmpeg and GStreamer.
  • Establish and implement proactive monitoring strategies for stream stability and performance, leading troubleshooting efforts and ensuring the continuous, uninterrupted operation of critical video infrastructure.
  • Act as liaison with development and infrastructure teams, advocating for and ensuring the necessary network infrastructure is in place to support evolving video streaming requirements.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for all video pipeline designs, system configurations, operational processes, and troubleshooting guides, setting standards for the team.
  • Promote the adoption of emerging technologies and best practices in CCTV, and video streaming, guiding the team's professional development and technical direction.
  • Provide expert technical leadership and mentorship to the team regarding video streaming and recording infrastructure.
Requirements
  • Fluent (C2) English is a must. Additional languages are a plus.
  • 5 years experience with video streaming technologies and protocols (e.g., RTSP, RTMP, H.264, H.265).
  • Proven experience with video recording pipelines at scale.
  • Proven experience with transcoding tools (ffmpeg or GStreamer).
  • Solid understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, VPNs (IPsec, OpenVPN), and firewall configurations.
  • Familiarity with video originating in CCTV cameras.
  • Experience with Linux-based operating systems for system configuration and troubleshooting.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Requirements
  • Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation.
  • Knowledge of video analytics or computer vision integration with CCTV systems.
